Prayer for Josh

This was something that was requested for a prayer chain. I wanted to share it here.

The Morgan family asks for prayers from the community for their sixteen year old son Josh who is going in for surgery Monday for a brain tumor. Josh recently said that he was interested in joining track this spring and we hope that he has the chance to do that and many other things.

Please pray that Josh has the patience and strength to endure the next few hours as we anticipate his surgery tomorrow. Also pray for the doctors who will be caring for our son during surgery and making the tough decisions in the operating room. Pray for Josh’s older sister and little brother who love him and miss him, and also his extended family. And pray for his mom and I as we support him through this difficult time.

The following bible verse is one of several that nurses had posted inside Josh’s room:

So do not fear, I am with you

Do not be dismayed, I am your god

I will strengthen you and help you

I will hold you up with my righteous right hand
